Alrick Riley
Joint Managing Director - Writer/Director


Alrick Riley is the co-founder of Cinnamon Films and has been an established director of high profile television for over ten years. He is the recipient of two British Academy of Film & Television Arts Awards two Royal Television Society Awards and numerous other prizes for event television drama. He has directed on ground breaking series ‘The Cops’, helmed the award winning ‘Babyfather’, is responsible for the pilot of the long running series ‘Judge John Deed’ and has recently directed on the multiple award winning series ‘Spooks’ and ‘Hustle’. He is currently developing a feature about the Broadwater Farm riots of 1985.

Alrick has also participated on the juries of BAFTA, the Royal Television Society and the Directors Guild of Great Britain to adjudicate on awards to celebrate excellence in television drama.



Louise Decoteau
Joint Managing Director / Producer


Louise Decoteau is the co-founder of Cinnamon Films which was formed in 2004 with BAFTA award winning writer/director Alrick Riley to develop and produce film and television projects. Cinnamon’s credits include; TV’s Black Pioneers a BBC documentary which highlights the experiences, trials and tribulations of the first generation of African Caribbean actors and The Power of the Word, a series of short films exploring poetry and the art of performance. ‘Hardcore’ is a feature length film commissioned by Warp X and Broadwater Farm dramatically re-stages the events leading to the riots of 1985.

Black to the Future; a weekend celebrating black achievement in film and television.

Louise produced Elephant Palm Tree a short film funded by the UK Film Council - New Cinema Fund, Pulse / Film London. It has been selected for the Sundance Film Festival, FESPACO, Pan African Film Festival, Raindance East Film Festival, Commonwealth Film Festival, Jacksonville Film Festival , Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival (shortlisted for 'Best Short' award); London Film Festival, Turks & Caicos International Film Festival and the Bahamas International Film Festival.

Louise also produced two award winning shorts: Money Talks and Concrete Garden, with Alrick Riley, which were broadcast on BBC and C4 television. Both films were selected for numerous international festivals and received awards from Toronto, Munich and Chicago.

Her producing credits include commercials: Kodak 100th Birthday Ad, Children’s Society Awareness, Keith Floyd’s Breville Pie Maker, Do It All, B&Q and Hovis Bread campaigns.



Amanda Davis
Projects Director


Amanda is an independent project director and arts producer with over 10 years experience working at a strategic level on culturally diverse art, music and theatre projects. She has produced, toured and promoted projects nationally and internationally and her work has taken her abroad to New York, Haiti, South Africa, Ghana, as well as Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Holland. She also delivers training in marketing and audience development for attracting culturally diverse audiences.
